Here is the explanation from the man who knows about these things - he
is not happy and heads will roll if the culprits don't get their act
together

Basically, the V3 Redirection Services enabling us to use
"welcome.to/Gwent.FHS" as our address have changed their
arrangements without notifying us. This may be slowing down the
speed at which our pages are being down-loaded onto the screen.
With a speedy Internet Service Provider, and at times when the
Internet connections aren't very busy, there shouldn't be much
difference, especially as our pages are now held by RootsWeb who
have just increased the speed of their connections five-fold.
But if your ISP connection is slow and the lines are very busy,
the pages can take longer.
We've contacted V3 Redirection Services to sort it out and speed
things back up. The "errors on page"/"error in script" message
also appears to be tied up with the same thing. It certainly
doesn't stop the pages loading - that's an unfortunate
red-herring - but we're sorting that out at the same time.
In the meantime, if you do experience delays, please can we ask
you to allow a little more time for the pages to come through to
you.
