Garnfach is a corruption of Pen-y-Garn- Fach ,an area of Nantyglo
near Hermon chapel.

Do a coordinate search 319348,209817 and it should appear
centre of map. Go to enlarged view and scroll for close up details.
Locally the area was and still is known as Garnfach ,Garncross or "The
Garn".
Until the 1970`s there was a large stone cross in the road adjacent to
Hermon Chapel at the junction of Queen street, Garn Road and the road
leading to the Ffosmaen inn known as the Garn Cross.
Garnfach infants school was nearby.
