I have just discovered the name of my great great great grandfather's
second wife. She is Elizabeth McCALL and her marriage to Robert YOUNG
took place 13 Jun 1850. He was a widower; his employment was a Woodward
for the Tredegar, and he resided at Park House, Basaleg, Monmouth. His
father was also named Robert YOUNG, and he also was the Woodward on the
Tredegar estate. The family had emigrated from Roxburghshire, Scotland.
Elizabeth McCALL was a spinster from Michaelstone; she was the daughter
of Alexander McCALL.
The marriage was held in the "Parish Church" (whatever its name is, I
don't know), and it was the established Church of England. The ceremony
was performed by the Rector, James (I'm not sure of the surname) Coles?
or Foles? of Poles?
Can anyone tell me how to find out what church, and what rector?
Witness to this event were William PHILLIPS and ____ PARR
Thanks in advance for any help with anything or anyone or anyplace in
this information.
