Mimi,
There are several Parish records on film for the Parish of Bedwelty. The LDS
Church Film #104847 is for the Church of England Bishop transcripts for 1696
to 1879. This film can be read online or over the internet.
Here is how to get there :
1. Go to site
http://www.familysearch.org/Search/searchigi.asp
2. Enter the name you are searching for in the name field 'David Williams'
3. Set British Isles in the 'Region' box
4. Put the number C020091 in the box for 'Batch Number'
5. Hit the search button.
I did this and brought about 12 David Williams who who were chr. in the
Bedwelty Parish bet. 1696 1879
You may search for other people in this Parish record by changing the Name
in the name boxes, just using a surname or by just putting names in the
parents boxes without putting a child's name in. etc.
The LDS Church has transcribed numerous Parish records to computer data
bases and if you know the 'Batch Number' for a Parish record you can access
the Parish record through the IGI(international genealogy index) custom
search.
If you would like to find out a Batch number for a parish record you may
contact me at kad4(a)email.byu.edu and I will look and see if I can find one.

Subject: [BlaenauGwent] Records of Bedwellty Parish
I have just finished reading LDS Microfilm Reel 0104917 entitled
Bishops
Transcripts for the Chapelry of Tredegar(1838-1861) in the Parish of
Bedwellty. I am assuming that this is the Church of St. George. These
transcripts contain only baptisms from 1841-1861 and a few burials.
Do any of you know if the whole of the Bedwellty Parish records are extant
including the records of marriages before 1841. Thank you very much. Mimi
