Unsure about any relevance that the Castle Hotel has in historical
terms, John, especially 1830-1840. There is a Tredegar website which has
certain historical information, Town clock (1858),etc. You can even
write your own page, etc. I am not involved in this site, but I have
joined to receive their news email. Put your question on the site,
you'll be talking to people who have the answers <gulp... I hope>

Does anyone have any historical information about the hotel? Or, know
where
I can locate information? I'm trying to find information in the period
1830-40, in particular mention of John Bradford, who may have been
owner/landlord during this period, or his family. Was the hotel used by
local activists of the Chartist movement?
Many thanks,
John
