Thanks to Connie, Lynne, Sally, Carole and Paul for helping me in the search for Mabel
Florence JONES b. 1 Nov. 1891. I am looking forward to the arrival of the 1901 census
where I hope to find her.
Still looking for Charles, Edgar and Ivor JONES born to Richard JONES and Emma COBB. Also
a marriage for the above. Emma was from Kent. However, more info has been extracted
from my aunt. Emma COBB died when Mabel Florence (b. 1 Nov. 1891) was about 5 years old.
At age 12 or 14, Mabel went to work on a farm for a Mr. & Mrs. Rees(e), near to
Caerphilly Castle.
On the 1901 though, she should be with her father Richard JONES, a carpenter, also a
housekeeper and possibly Edgar JONES the youngest of the 3 boys who was later killed in a
mining accident. It is felt that Charles and Ivor were in the Boer War and were sent to
India. Not being up on history, I must check if this could be correct. I do know they
were "quite a bit older" than Mabel Florence.
Once again, thanks. I do appreciate your time.
