Clare and other listers,
I too am looking for information about the qualifications and training of a
surgeon ancestor, though almost a century later, and from Derby, not Wales
(John Handford HARDY, b c. 1823 in St Peter, Derby, Derby, d 20 Jun 1870 in
Australia, MRCS England 1852).
I have tried the Royal College of Surgeons website but can find no useful links
Any suggestions?
TIA

Content-Type: text/plain
Hi all
I've come across an ancestor who is a Surgeon. (Henry HARRIS, Surgeon of
Trevethin b c.1731 d.23/7/1762)
I also have various examples of his signature and it's a real work of art.
Can anyone direct me to more information about surgeons of this time,
their training etc?
Many thanks,
Clare in Kent
