Hello Elsie
This is from the GLA FHS Marriage Index:
WATKINS, David of Merthyr Tydfil m. Amy HARRIES of MT, at MT 9 April 1810, by
Banns.
This is the only couple in either MON or GLA indexes that fits your description.

I am trying to figure out the Parish name for my GGG GM, Amelia (or
Amy) WATKINS (don't know her maiden name) born in 1784 in Llanover,
MON according to the 1871 census of Rhymney. She was 87 at the time
(it says 97 but I think that's wrong) living with my GG Grandparents
Thomas and Mary (nee Watkins) ISAAC at 9 Tre Evans, Rhymney.
I know that Amelia married David WATKINS, a Sawyer, but have no idea
what her maiden name was. In 1861 she was living in Coity Lower, GLA
and it lists her as being born in 1784, the widow of a Sawyer. She
was the Head of the house and the only one listed. (That's why I came
to the conclusion that she must be 87 on the 1871 and not 97 as it
states).
If anyone can offer any assistance in this brickwall, I'd truly
appreciate it. I've been unable to find any marriage for David and
Amelia.
Thank You!
