Gill,
Noswaith dda. Pob lwc gyda'ch gwersi Cymraeg!
I may have misled you by saying the Rhymney Valley Express. That was a
later publication and was a sister paper or version of the Merthyr Express,
which originally covered the Rhymney Valley. I'm afraid that it is years
since I used the Merthyr Express for research. However, it was a treasure
trove of life in the Rhymney Valley in the 1920s, the period I was
researching. I went to the British Newspaper Library to read it. That is
in London and you can find details on the British Library website at
http://www.bl.uk. However, copies must be available at local libraries in
Caerffili, Bargoed or Rhymney. You can contact them at 52-53 Glebeland
Road, Merthyr Tydfil (01685-856506 or 856568). There is also the National
Library of Wales in Aberystwyth but I don't know of anything on-line. I am
sure there are others on the list who will be able to give you better
information than I can.
All the best with your research.
Regards.
Paul.
