Yes, a lot of people came to Gwent in 1860's to work on Merthyr to
Abergavenny line and peripheral railways. That included Beaufort, Ebbw
Vale and Tredegar, etc.
There are Stroud families associated with Ebbw Vale and I believe I have
contacted you before re- this.
