Hi Yvonne!
You didn't give any information other than the name, but there is only one
James in the Breconshire census with that surname, so maybe this is your
man:
Source: Powys Family History Society CD: 1851 Census Brecknock:
1851 Census of Breconshire - CRICKHOWELL Enumeration District HO107:2490
Parish of LLANELLY - Parcel of Aberbaiden, Town of BRYNMAWR
Dwelling: Orchard Street, Brynmawr - Folio 44 - Page 42
STARES Israel, Head, m, 52, cinder tipper, SOM Shipham
STARES Mary, Wife, m, 50, ----------, SOM Bedminster
STARES George, Son, u, 14, iron miner, SOM Shipham
STARES Elizabeth, Daur, u, 12, coke filler, SOM Shipham
STARES Susannah, Daur, u, 09, ----------, SOM Shipham
STARES Jane, Daur, u, 06, ----------, SOM Shipham
HAINES James, SinL, m, 21, limestone breaker, SOM Frome
HAINES Mary Ann, Daur, m, 20, ----------, SOM Shipham
No other STARES people in the 1851 Breconshire Census, and no obvious
connections to any of the other HAINES people (14 of them, if you include
Catherine HAIVES in case of mistranscription) or to Ann HAYNES in the same
census. James is the only HAINES from Somerset.
Hope this helps!
x Kate.

I would really appreciate a look up of the above census
I am searching for
James Haines/Haynes/Hanes
Probably in the Crickhowell, Llanelly, Brynmaur districts
Many thanks
