I spoke to Keith Thomas at our Blaenau Gwent Heritage forum meeting last
night. The Colliers Row photo that I mentioned 're-Rob Wilson's enquiry'
is indeed the Libanus area one. Keith has photos at home of Colliers Row
including before they were pulled down in 1960's. Hope to receive them
soon!
Keith brought up copies of "Heritage 2" to the meeting which he had
received only yesterday. I had a chance to purchase a few for myself.
The book costs 11-95 GB pounds, around 20 dollars? Keith has been
delivering them around libraries and Newsagents in Blaenau Gwent,
Tredegar, Ebbw Vale, Cwm, Blaina, Nantyglo, Brynmawr, Beaufort, etc.
during the day
Not sure what provision has been made by Keith for overseas as yet.
The book is published by Old Bakehouse Publications, telephone 01495
216222. Address Church Street, Abertillery, Gwent NP13 1EA.

This second volume "contains a variety of essays, memories and solid
research on local subjects", says Keith in his introduction. 28 articles
in all including many photos on the subjects.
An article on Mrs Novello Morgan who lived all her life at Colliers Row
states that Colliers Row was built in 1824, considered unfit in the
1930's but due to the housing shortage stood until 1966!
