Hi
I have Wilcox from Ebbw Vale in my family tree, though a rather distant
connection.
A George Lewis Clark(e) was a brother to two of my G Grandmothers (cousins
married) and his daughter Annie married a William J Wilcox. On the 1901
census George, his wife Rachel, William and Annie Wilcox, a David Walters
(brother of Rachel) and a nephew Frederick Regas were living at 2 Mount
Pleasant, Ebbw Vale. George Clarke had a milk round and at the time of the
census William Wilcox was an insurance agent though family history states
that eventually William took over the milk round and possibly also had a
general stores. George Rachel and Annie were born in Tredegar and William
in
Ebbw Vale.
If this is of interest please let me know as I do have more information on
this family.

Ken's father is my mother's older brother, but they have different
surname's.
I have seen Ken once in the past 30 year's, that being at a funeral of
another branch of the tree.
It would be so much easier if our families shared our enthusiasm for
our family tree's...oh well such is life (with a smile).
Would it be helpful if there were a joint effort, to request the same
service we have in Worcestershire to be available in you're area?
Good luck in you're searches

There are still Wilcox families in Ebbw Vale and I was talking to Ken
Rose in the Town this afternoon. Ken owns a shop in Bethcar street.
