Thank you, Thank you many times over now I know for certain that he is
buried at St. David's. His 2 wives and at least one child that predeceased
him wouldn't happen to be buried in the same grave would they.. 1st. wife
would be ANN ROBERTS and child also named ANN, 2nd wife EMMA ROBERTS and
possibly unknown child?
Again THANK YOU, you have come for me once again...last time was about a
year ago, when I think I was looking for your Kerton in Somerset.
Regards Carole

>> Came across Ann Woosman aged 102 from Rhymney, Monmouthshire while
>> transcribing St Davids Rhymney, Church of Wales burials. Has to be
quite
>> a record for those times. The Church opened in 1843 and this
is the
>> first centenarian I have come across. Any takers? Haven't researched
the
>> name, where could she have came from? Montgomery and
Shropshire have
>> those surnames on 1881 census.
>>
>> The Church has photos of all 12 vicars since 1843. It is quite
>> significant that the curate ( clerical assistant) carried out the
>> majority of burials in the Vicar's ( incumbent's) absence.
>>
>> This graveyard at one time must have been real beautiful. It is as most
>> graveyards around, choked with Japanese Knotweed and bramble bush, etc.
>> The current Vicar tells me there may be plans to landscape the
>> Churchyard which would make it a great attraction as the Church is
>> central Rhymney and the Church is such a magnificent building.
