Subject: [Bla'Gwent] Elizabeth Frances CANDY
Hello Betty,
The following is an extract from my records:-
Charles GOULD (17 Dec 1867 Clutton - 18 Sep 1922 Clutton).
m Elizabeth Frances CANDY (2 Nov 1876 Frome - 21 Jun 1951 Weston) on 21
Mar
1896 at St Werburgh's Parish Church, Bristol.
The following is information forwarded by another researcher:-
Elizabeth Frances Candy was born on 2 November 1876 at Kilmersdon in
Somerset, to William Benjamin Candy and Emmaline (nee Moore), who had been
married in the September Quarter of 1859 in Bristol (#6a - 48). Elizabeth
Frances was the youngest of 6 children.
William Benjamin Candy was born 2 March 1836 at Huish, Somerset, and
Emmaline Moore on 31 July 1838. He died on 23 November 1924 and she died
on
9 October 1919. There is a memorial inscription to them in Camerton
Church.
William Benjamin was the eldest of six children born to Benjamin Candy
(1806 - 1852) and Lucy nee Snook (1810 - After 1881).
Hope this is of some use.
Are you related to Philip Candy of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia?
Regards,
Mike
