Dawn,
Could it be Vale of Llangollen cut short? That seems more likely for a team
in the 1887 English FA Cup. North Wales was certainly the home of soccer
rather than the south at that time.

Subject: Where is the Vale of Llangol
Help please! Maybe Soccer Fans!!!
Earlier I wrote asking about the Parish of Llangol Usk, BRE.
I just found a reference on the web in regard to FA Challenge Cup where
it lists "Llangol Vale" as being a team.
England FA Challenge Cup 1887-88
1st Round
Oct 08 Blackburn Park 2 Distillery 1 Blackburn
Park
Oct 08 Old Brightonian 1 Swindon Town 0
Oct 08 Old Etonians 4 Lancing Old Boy 2
Oct 08 Oswaldtwistle 1 Witton West End 4
Oct 08 Vale Of Llangol ****** 1 Oswestry 3
Can someone lead me in the right direction, PLEASE?
Thanks,
Dawn

I cannot find this anywhere. Came from a Tredegar Non-coformist Parish
Register. Says that the poeple, in three separate entries, are of:
the PARISH of Llangol Usk, BRE
Cannot find on Genuki, Google ParLoc or the LDS Catalogue.
Any suggestions?
Is this another emergency call for Dick Jones?!?!?!?!
Many thanks,
