Hello Dave,
I may be a bit late on this thread but I have the MI's on Monmouthshire,
also Gwent Records Office hold them at Cwmbran and of course all other
Branches of Gwent shown in my signature under our Gwent FHS. The Parish
Registers are held at Cwmbran CRO. See gwent.records(a)torfaen.gov.uk
I will check what I have and let you know later. Noticed some Yarworth's
a while back, would this be an alternative version, spelling mistake,
Dave. Have you come across this before?
It's my birthday today, 21 of course;) so I have been out celebrating,
meal and drinks at The Bridgend, Crickhowell, just over the Usk from
Llangattock, Callen Clan Country;) 7 miles from Beaufort. Beautiful
sunny day. Didn't take my bathing costume or I would have taken the
plunge. Skinny dipping is prohibited until midnight but some 'Mile high
Clubbers' leaping in for the hell of it. Oh.... what the heck......
SPLAS....HHH!! That's better.
Right, I have found the following:-
Llanfair Kilgeddin ( 6 miles from Usk, on the Abergavenny Road) index
for above:-
St Mary's Parish Church, James, Richard, Mary and John. (interior 8 and
16) this will be shown on MI 41-56.
also
St Sannans (Bedwellty) James and Elizabeth. (Interior 8) MI 224-235
Will check more for you later. The main fiches are available from Gwent
FHS or Genfair.
Best wishes
Brenda, Gwent

Judy Jupar on the Glamorgan list found a copy Will for me in her
search of
the Brecon Wills. Namely Copy Will of David Yorath Cwmyoy Monmouthshire 1689
Ref BR/1689/36 south of Llanthony and east of the Black Mountains. Probated
was granted 23 September 1689 to Sarah Yorath Widow (from the will her
maiden name could be Edwards)
The major problem I am having is finding the parish records or Monumental
Inscriptions
If any person living in the vicinity could help me or point me in the right
direction I woul be most grateful
