Most of the genealogy I've found was at the local Courthouse here in
Allegany County, Maryland. This was followed by a trip to Wales with my
daughter.
I then found some more info at the local Genealogical Society, followed by
all the info I got from my mother and her sister and from lots of cousins.
Then more Dandos who lived in Ohio and found my name on line.
This got as much Dando info as I found until the fellow who wrote the book
called me from Wales and then sent the book. We wanted to go back to Wales
again so we could meet him but...didn't go because we learned of his death
before we left the USA.
My other halves are Hamiltons.
Where do you live?
Connie Hamilton Beachy
Although I have been quiet on this 'blog', I have been fascinated by all
of the interest and exchanges. Thanks to everyone that participates, I
read ALL of them!
Some of you are apparently quite advanced in geneology research. May I
kindly ask some of you to reply as to how to begin the process?
My own geneology comes from Tredegar but have been blocked somewhat from
family records by virtue of the fact that the family came to America in
the 1800's (Pennsylvania and her coal mines)and I have now gone to
Australia!
