I believe the photo's you saw were the ones I gave Mandy, they were probably ther ones
that were in the booklet about the union workhouse which I compiled a few years ago copy
of which is in the archive centre. Some where in amongst boxes which we still have to
unpack since moving here, are photos of the laundry and casual ward before we started
alterations!

We met in June when my sister and I were researching my gt. grandad. It was great to talk
to you. As a matter of interest, the owner of the hotel has a book with old photos of the
workhouse as it was. I did take picture with my digital but they were not very good.
Maybe I should have asked for photocopies.
Hello Richard,
I did send an e-mail to your private address this afternoon with copies attached. However,
it has come back undelivered. If you want to send me your land address I will post copies
on. Don't worry about the cost, have them on me, as a fellow descendent of the
workhouse system.
