Hello Richard,
Although, some two weeks since you posted this message, I thought I would
contact you.
Although I don't have any easy access as yet to the 1851 and 1861 Censuses,
perhaps someone else will have helped you by now.
The reason for my writing is that I have a Frank Coles, who married my
grandmother's sister, Rose Weeks. He was her second husband, her first
having been killed in the first world war.
Do you have a connection or knowledge of this Frank Coles, please?
Wendy

Subject: [Bla'Gwent] William Frank COLES
Hi,
With apologies to everyone in advance, as this is the first time I have
subscribed to a list, so please make allowances for me, should my approach
be
less than perfect.
I am seeking info regarding my ggrandfather WILLIAM FRANK COLES born about
1853, father CHARLES, mother's name unknown.
In the 1881 census, I have William Frank COLES married to Eliza and living
at
48 Bedford Road, Reading in Berkshire. He gives his place of birth
as
BLAINA.
A previous correspondent indicated that copies of the 1851 and 1861 census
are held in the Heritage Centre in Blaina. Does anyone have access to
these
please? If so, would it be possible to do a look-up for me please,
seeking
evidence of CHARLES COLES and family in BLAINA? Any help would be
greatly
appreciated.
Many thanks,
Richard Coles
