Dear Glen,
I don't have any information for you. But I did notice the name Bamford. I
don't know how common the name is, but where I grew up in Toronto, Ontario,
Canada, there was a next door neighbour whose name was Ed Bamford. He was a
good friend of my family. I wonder if there is even a remote connection?

This is my first try so I hope someone can give me some info on
Francis E. Bamford, his wife was Elizabeth. His son Francis N. Bamford is
my grandfather.
The 1881 census shows their address as Sirhowy Station House,
Bedwellty, Monmouth, Wales. They both worked for the London
Northwestern Railway.
Thanks
Glen
