Hi Pat,
Are you sure you're not confusing Aberystruth (Monmouthshire) with
Aberystwyth (Cardiganshire).
There's a famous beauty spot known as Devil's Bridge 10 miles upstream
from Aberystwyth, in the Vale of Rheidol.
I'm not familiar with the story about a cave-dwelling Batt family, but
I'm sure there were cave-dwelling bats there! :o)
