Hello Judith,
My research areas cover all of Wales, Hereford, Shropshire, West
Country, Pennsylvania, etc. I am a member of the Ebbw Vale Branch of
Gwent Family History and I am currently doing transcription work for
them on a voluntary basis.
I am in possession of Aberystruth 1851 census, which I am hiring from
our society. Later this month I hope to hire the 1851 census for
Bedwellty. I borrowed it last month but now I find that I need it for
other research for other peoples families. If you can't find William by
other means then I can do a lookup for you. There is currently no
official Index for Bedwellty so it can be difficult. Fingers crossed
that it will be processed soon. As I told you earlier that Densley's
were not shown on 1861 index. That may have been because a lot of fiche
did not survive that period for some reason or another.
Best Wishes.

Many, many thanks to Pam and to Brenda Jones. Does your search areas
cover
Ebbw Vale? In the 1881 census there is a William Densley at 13 Augusta St,
Bedwellty aged 38 from Ebbw Vale. As he would have been 13 in 1851 does he
appear in the census for that area?
The trouble with going through Bristol and Somerset, Brenda, is that most
people researching the Densley name are only interested in the Densley family
around Englishcombe who went on to help establish the Mornmon Church.
Although I am becoming increasingly more convinced that the Welsh Densleys
and the Somerset Densleys are one and the same.
Thank you for your time and efforts.
