Subject: [Bla'Gwent] BEVANS - NANTYGLO/BLAINA
Hi All,
It's been a while since I was on the list
I have found a link in the Nantyglo/Blaina between my BELT family research
and a BEVAN family
Details
An Esther Belt married Job Bevan 1900, 1901 census has them in the
Nantyglo
area - Job Bevan was the son of Henry Bevan, with siblings
Henry,Harriet,Charles,Mary Ann and James(ref 1881 census).
Esther Bevan(nee Belt)came from Pembrokeshire(according to 1901
census)sometime between 1890 and 1900.
Through my research I have traced a number of Belt families in the "heads
of
the Valleys" area of Monmouthshire with ancestral roots in
Pembrokeshire,
so
this find is another piece to my "jigsaw" of connecting
Pembrokeshire and
Monmouthshire Belts.
Looking for information or possible links to this family of Bevan/Belt
Regards
Kevin
Hi Kevin,
Nice to hear from you again. I too have found links with Bevan but at the
moment very weak, Fould out my great great grandfather Evan Maddy lived in
Bedwellty before 1832. Cannot at the moment find out where or who he was
living with although we also have links to Price, Lewis, Powell, Williams
and Proberts. Can't say that my links are yours as I believe mine were
around the 1830-60's.
Hope you are well,
Best wishes,
Sue in Suffolk
