I am sorry, I do not know of anyone that would fit.
Thanks.

Are you familiar with any Williams men who might have died young
leaving a

She was born around 1798 in Blaina, and remarried to a David Lewis

Subject: [Bla'Gwent] Williams family of Blaina and Nantyglo Wales
Hi!
I am trying to find information on a Williams family from Nantyglo
and
Blaina and have no idea where to start. Would someone please be
willing
to give me some clues. The family were miners, I believe the father
was
named Thomas Spencer Williams who married a Margaret Hughes. Their
children included Abednego born 1827, Meshach born 1828, Margaret
born
1830, Shadrach born 1832, Mary born 1836?, David born 1836?, Robert
b
1838, Spencer born 1840 and Rodger born 1841 - They all carried the
middle name of Spencer. My info is from family stories handed down -
not
from any actual hard data. I did find a record that Meshach was born
in
Kidwelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales. I also think some of the children
could
have been born in Holywell, Flintshire, Wales.
My great grandmother was Margaret Jane Williams (Maggie) born
between
1870 and 1873 in Wales and married a Robert Jones in Tennessee, US. I
am
trying to figure out who her parents were, where she was born and
how her
family decided to come to America. I know that she is neice to
Abednego,
Mesach and Mary Williams listed above because of census records
found in
the US. Meshack had a daughter named Margaret Jane Williams, but
this
Margaret was about 10 years older then mine and died as a child in
Nevada, United States.
I do know that Meshach, Abednego and Mary Williams were in Nantyglo
and
Blaina at least between the years 1850-1855. I think that Mary might
have
married there to a man named Shadrach Jones. Also I think that
Abednego
Williams married there to a Jane Edwards and had some children
there.
Abednego's children who I think were born in Blaina were named:
Shadrach,
Abednego, Brigham, Meshach, Rhoda, Mary Ann, Sarah Jane, Spencer,
Angeline and Dagmar. I know this because they were members of the
Mormon
church there. I do not think any of the other children joined the
Mormon
church.
I think that the mother of my Maggie was Mrs. Margaret S Williams
born
Sept 1832 in Wales because she is listed as the grandmother of
Maggie's
children on the 1900 Willard, Box Elder, Utah Census. The mother
Mrs.
Margaret S Williams in 1800 was age 67, widow, and had only one of
8
children living. She immigrated in 1873 from Wales and rented a home
is
Willard, Utah. I have no clue who her husband might be and what the
relationship is to make my Maggie neice to Meshack, Abednego and
Mary
Williams.
I am soooo confused.
By time my Maggie J Williams was thirteen she had given birth to a
daughter, Eliza Margaret (Annie) Jones in Tennessee.
By time my Maggie J Williams was twenty-one she was the widowed
mother of
three - her husband died in a mining accident. Eliza (Annie) Jones,
Luther Jones, and an infant. She sent her children to her mother
and
lived all alone in Tennessee for several decades. I don't know why.
Thank you for any help or clues you may be willing to share with
me.
