Hi Listers,
I just received my great aunts marriage
certificate
m. Oct 12, 1902 William Lott age 39 married
Ceridwen Rogers age 22 condition, bachelor and
spinster, his rank was Sergeant Instructor both were
residing at High St Rhymney, his father was JOHN LOTT
(deceased) Ironworker, her father THOMAS ROGERS
Engineer
The marriage was witnessed by THOMAS BEVAN AND
ANNE BEVAN also by ARTHUR J. PRICE Curate of New
Tredegar
I have a few questions, what is a Sergeant
Insructor?
why would they both be listed as living on High
street, Rhymney? (no #given) do you think that
THOMAS BEVAN and ANNE BEVAN would have been friends or
rellies and would Arthur J. Price be the
minister of the Parish Church in the Parish of
Bedwelty?
What church is that please? I am trying to fiqure
out connections, I have Prices in my line so I am
hoping that perhaps the minister may be related. TTFN
