However, I can help with his home place in 1838. This was
Pen-y-Garn-Fach, in Nantyglo. Go to
www.old-maps.co.uk click on
Monmouth, then Nantyglo, and you will find it near Hafod-y-ddol, not
far from the railway station.
Thank you for that. Makes sense as Henry's birth/baptism regsitration says the family
resided in Nantyglo. I forgot that as I was looking at an older FGS for reference. Had
Henry's data all along.
I also found a birth and christening for Henry Davies, son of Jenkin
Davies and Gwenllian on the IGI - Henry born 14 Dec 1824, christened
at Aberystruth 20 March 1825 (batch 7134411)
