Hi John
Here's one further entry, this time a birth record, from the 'freebmd' site:-
MAR 1909 Frederick Charles Griffiths Bedwelty 11a 126
Provided the date of birth given is correct (ish!), the parents names, including
the mother's maiden name, from the birth certificate should confirm for certain
whether you have the correct marriage entry.

Subject: [BLAENAUGWENT] Albert GRIFFITHS Circ 1880 Ebbw Vale area
Hi all,
I haven't been on this list for quite some while as my research started
moving East and then North!
Anyway, I'm trying to help out a friend researching an Albert GRIFFITHS of
Ebbw Vale.
I realise this is a long shot because the information to hand is rather
vague, but it's worth the shot,
Rather than re-writing her message to me, I'll reproduce it below and any
help would be gratefully received and passed on.

This seems to be an awful lot of trouble to put you to. I don't know much,
unfortunately. But - here goes:
Albert Griffiths
He must have been born around 1880. I am only assuming it was in Ebbw Vale.
He married a lady whose Christian name was Mary-Ann, in the early 1900s, I
would guess about 1905. They lived in Ebbw Vale, and had five children all
born there: Albert was the oldest. Frederick Charles (born 16.12.1908);
Doris; Horace and Tommy.
Albert Griffiths joined the Army (? South Wales Borderers) in WW1, and
survived being gassed on the Somme, though I do not think he ever worked
again. He and his wife parted, though he always lived close to where the
family lived in Ebbw Vale.
He turned very religious. He was a Chapel man - I think Methodist.
He was still alive in the early 1950s, and living either in Ebbw Vale, or
very close to it.
I don't like lumbering you with this. If you think I ought to pass on the
web-site, I'll do that.
