Hi Dale,
Yes I did mean the Immigration station - the data entered for each immigrant
was quite a bit really even down to the colour of their eyes, details of who
they were meeting up with, next of kin, birthplace.
The entries are covered over two scanned images so check out both to have
all the details - you will need to fill in a form of registration then you
are away. You can keep your own personal file on there as well so you can go
back to them quickly without having to search again. The initial document
just states brief details but go into the ship's manifest for all details
about the person

Good hunting

Hi KC Edwards
When you say Ellis Island, you mean, the Immigration station in New York
harbour right?
I have an entry of the passage papers of an uncle who passed through the
port, off the maiden voyage on ss Lusitania.
http://www.samueljohnbarnes.s5.com
is all about him and his family. I am the great grandson of his abandoned
wife, but not his.
Would the Ellis Island site have stuff about immigrant, other than the
steerage forms?
If so can you tell me the address?
Dale

Hi List,
Can anyone help with 1891 or 1901 census for Giustad Terrace,
Abertillery -
not certain whether it existed then or that the spelling is correct
as the
info came from the Ellis Island site
Any help appreciated
Regards
Kevin
