Greetings!
I have a slim lead that I am trying to chase down. I am looking for a May
1816 marriage in Bedwelty/Bedwellty between a Richard WILLIAMS and a Mary
GRIFFITHS. I am willing to look through microfilmed records, but
unfortunately a trip to the area for some on-site research is out of the
question for several years.
Does any one have access to the May 1816 marriages in Bedwellty/Bedwelty?
If so, is there a marriage listed for a Richard WILLIAMS and a Mary
GRIFFITHS in May 1816? I am going this morning to order film at my local
FHC (FHL film 2408882) hoping that it will cover the time and area I am
interested in. By 1822 and 1824 Richard and Mary had 2 children (Margaret
and Thomas) baptized in the Penuel Chapel, Welsh Calvinistic Methodist, in
Tredegar. I believe that I have found the family in the 1841 census living
in Tredegar on Charles Street (HO 107 / 750 / 15), ED 10, folio 26, page 43.
Any direction or assistance appreciated.
TIA,
Jan, in Oregon, on the west coast of the USA
