Hi Listers
Does anyone on the list know what Chapel or Church there is or was on Poplar Road in
Tredegar please?
My grandmother and 2 of her sisters went there when they were adults.
I know my grandmother was involved in Church/Chapel groups, and often volunteered for
various things.
My grandmother was in fact a Church/Chapel person her whole life. She was born in Tredegar
in 1900 and died in 1970, her name was
LENA DAVIES nee WRIGHT. (Ring any bells for anyone?)
There was a framed photo of her on a wall in Tredegar house. I think it had something to
do with Burma, but I'm not sure.
Does anyone know if the old framed photos are still there?
Any help or guidance appreciated
Regards
Angela
Hi Angela,
The church in Poplar Road Tredegar is St James' Church (Church of Wales) - it is where
I was married. There is another chapel also, but I cannot remember the name of that one,
sorry. Perhaps another lister could help?
Helen
