Dear Mick
Do you have any info about the Narbeth Family who left Ebbw Vale in 1887 for
Australia or the Rodway or Morris family who left Ebbw Vale in 1885. Thank
you for any help you may offer.
Regards
Betty Candy

Hi Barrie, they sailed from London around the middle/late January
1887,
according to the passenger list, so how long would it have taken from Ebbw
Vale, presumably by train around the beginning to middle of January same
year. They were living in Tredegar High Street in a boarding house in
1881 census, Mary is transcribed as May. I'll have to check out Merthyr
library, haven't been to Merthyr in years, used to be a lorry driver and
spent many a night in Merthyr, drunk as the proverbal skunk, those boys
know a thing or two about drinking as well as rugby ! <grin>
Regards, Mick
