Dear Susan,
There are Lord and Maidment families buried in Brynmawr Municipal
cemetery from 1860's to early 1900's. I know this won't help you in your
modern research.
If your families were from Nantyglo (Aberystruth, Monmouthshire at one
time-now Blaenau Gwent) they would either be buried in Brynmawr or
Blaina Municipal cemeteries perhaps? If this is the case you would have
to apply to Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council at:-
Cemetery Department
C/O Finance Department
Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council
Civic Centre
Ebbw Vale
Blaenau Gwent NP23 6XB
Best regards

Good morning - I am hoping that one of the list members amy be able
to help me please. I spent several years as a child, 1953 to 1956,
living at the Bryn Mawr Golf Club with my mother and step father
(Cecil MAIDMENT) who was the golf pro and green keeper, he and my
mother were the Steward and Stewardess at the time.
My grandfather, Jeffery LORD, died between July and September 1954
while staying with us at the golf club and is buried in the cemetery
in Nantyglo (I think!!!!!!) The district is definitely Bedwellty.
Request please - is it possible to find out the actual grave site and
plot number????
Many thanks in advance your help
