As a post script to this message, these are monthly topics. One topic
will be chosen for discussion for each month. These are in addition to
to the usual list mail.
The topics are designed to provide general & possibly historical
information along with more detailed discussion that may pertain to
individual researches. It is a opportunity to expand our knowledge and
to share our brilliance (LOL) with other.
Having an understanding of some the conditions and experiences that
motivated our ancestors will hopefully increase an understanding of what
made them "tick."
The only rule is that topics must pertain to the topic of the list.
I plan to start the first discussion in May, but that is not to say
that if anyone has a question or comment before hand that you may not
bring it up.
The topic of the month will always be available in the taglines of each
email. By a tagline I mean those notices that run at the bottom of each
email, in other words the instructions to how to unsubscribe is a tagline.
Thanks,
Joan

It appears that our discussion on what topics to discuss has concluded
so I will list which topics we have so far.
Researching Techniques
The process of industrialization.
Migration.
Transport and communications.
Agriculture
Mining & Social Economics
If you have something that you would add to the list now is the time to
do so.
This list now has 237 members so we have only heard from a small number
of subscribers!
Sincerely,
Joan Asche
