THANK YOU for your reply. Now do you happen to know how many #'s or houses
were on Morgans Row?

Subject: [Bla'Gwent] RHYMNEY/Bedwelty Registration District
Hi all,
Just read the query about Morgan's Row, Rhymney, well it was in
existance in 1893 when my great grandparents got married, Mary Ann JONES
residence at time of marriage was 4 Morgan's Row, Rhymney, his 13 Field
Street, Rhymney. As to Rhymney sometimes being part of Bedwelty, in fact
an error by LDS when producing the 1881 census CD's omitted Rhymney as a
place-name, replacing it with the name of it's Registration District
name, Bedwelty, which is very confusing when searching the census, but I
know my PRICE, JONES, DEATH & RIST ancestors all stayed in Rhymney over
generations, and they didn't all suddenly move to Bedwelty. St. Davids
Church is the parish church of Rhymney, which used to come under
Monmouthshire. Best wishes.

Rumney or Rhymney ( not to be mistaken for the other Rumney!) came under
Monmouthshire, Parish of Rhymney. To complicate further, part/s of
Rhymney were included in Bedwellty in some census's;)
Morgan or Morgans row does not exist in Rhymney today only Morgan Street
and Morgan Terrace.
The first instance of Morgans Row I come across is in 1857 in
relationship with burials in Rhymney Parish Church.
When we complete the transcription for Baptisms, Marriages and burials
for Rhymney Parish then we will be able to build a broader picture of
the street details and the sort of people who lived there, etc.
