My mother's maiden name was Long, and she and her siblings were born in
Blaina. She is descended from Isaac Long who had arrived in
Nantyglo/Brynmawr by 1865 from Somerset.
What were your parent's details, and how far back can you trace your branch?
I am really excited to find somebody else researching this name in this
area.
Regards
Anne Welch in Surrey

Subject: Re: [Bla'Gwent] Fw: family history, surname - LONG .... from ADMIN
My maiden name is Long - my family were from Blaina - my grandfather
was
one
of thirteen who lived in Bournville [between Blaina and Abertillery].
I
wonder if we are related?
I am very early on in my research - perhaps we could swop information.

When typing a surname? YES! Absolutely! A must! For general text? NO!
It's shouting and bad Netiquette besides being quite hard to read.
