Dear Veronica,
The Ebbw Vale priest is Hagerty. He can be pretty pedantic with these FH
enquires I have found in my experience.
Please contact me offline if you do not receive any other replies and I
will put you in touch with a friend who deals with RC enquires around
the Heads of the Valleys area, of which Ebbw Vale is a part of,
obviously!
Best regards

Please all the people of the list can you help me
I am searching on behalf of a solicitor in Ireland and time is running out.
I have been searching for the descendants of a Patrick Grant and Margaret
Sheehy.
I will give you the details as I know them
Marriage 1907 St Marys Chapel Tredgar Rd Ebbw Vale District of Bedwelty
26th March 1907
Patrick Grant aged 36 Iron Works Labourer Address 22 Top Row Newtown Ebbw
Vale Father James Grant deceased fisherman
Margaret Sheehy aged 28 Address 23 Top Row Newtown Ebbw Vale Father John
Sheehy Grocer.
They were married by an R C priest in the above chapel
Margaret died in Newport in 1945 and was a widow at the time of her death
I am looking for the death of Patrick Grant and any children that they may
have had. Some oral tradition states that there were no children of the
marriage and some say that there were three children.
I would be VERY grateful if anyone with access to the Ebbw Vale records
could search for the death of Patrick or any children. I know that
this is a lot
to ask but I do know that genealogist DO love a challenge. I have searched
the records online to no avail. There is a clutch of Grant children born just
after 1907 in the Bedwelty area I got the certs but none are correct.
The specialist knowledge of people on the list would be more than
appreciated as I said time is running out to find the death of Patrick
and the
existence of any children
Thank You
