Hey, for those of you who have been online long enough, you might remember
me, I have just been lurking for the past little while not posting. I took
a break from my Jenkins brick wall/nightmare to try and clear my head. But
now I am back at it.
I am still looking for a birth for Thomas Jenkins born about 1825 on the
census it list a Llandilos St. Harmon and also Radnorshire. ( two different
census, two different places. The wife and kids are the same so I know it
is the right one.) At the time of the '61 an '71 he was living in Tredegar
Monmouthshire. He was married in Betwellty Parish to Mary Jones.
What I am most looking for is his father. Edward Jenkins as stated on his
marriage cert. But I can't find an Edward that fits in either Radnorshire
or Monmouthshire. The one family clue I have is that he had a couple of
brother and they and himself all lived to be over 100. As stated in a
family journal. They were known as Old Die, Young Die and Die Come Lately.
Not sure if it is Radnorshire or Monmouthshire. The family "talk" is that
they lived close enough to walk to each others homes.
If there are any clues out there or if any one has come across a very old
Jenkins on a census or a newspaper clipping or anything I would be very
happy to hear all.
Anything would be more then I have.
Thanks,
Jill in Alaska
