Hello Linda,
It really depends what areas you require. Our Ebbw Vale Branch of Gwent
Family History Society hold facsimile copies of certain areas, e.g. St
Woolos, Malpas, Caerleon, Newchurch, Llanthewy Fach, Kemmys Commander,
Bettwys Newyddd, Trostrey, Whitson, Goldcliffe, Nash, Llangovan and
Llanfihangel Gobion, births, marriage and baptisms and poor book,
depending on years, some 17 century. David Woolven transcriptions.
Someone put on the web David Woolven's transcriptions of PR of Gwent and
also his transcriptions to the Society of Genealogists (S.O.G) some
years ago. I believe it was Mike John of Gwent.
See:-

history.htm#anchor1549
If yo visit Gwent Family History Society site under the Sales/Registers
part of the website, viz:-
http://www.rootsweb.com/~wlsgfhs/Sales/Registers.htm
You will see what is on sale, fiche or CD re-Parish Registers
I hope to be able to transcribe Ebbw Vale and district, i.e. Beaufort,
Rassau, Llangunidr, Llangattock, Llanelli, Cwm, etc. eventually. Have
started parts of Beaufort, so far...... long way to go!
best regards
Barrie Jones, Gwent FHS

Is there anyway to buy copies of these or do I have to go to the
places they are
kept in Wales. Or is there a look up service for them. I work and live out of
the area and find it very hard to get to the various areas to look up my
relatives
