I have a few loose ends to tie up and need the help of people with census
and/or marriage indexes. I have just read an email from one person on the
list who has heaps of indexes etc but is too busy to do lookups, so if there
is anyone else out there I'd really appreciate your help. The surname is
not common so it shouldn't be too much of a pain to look up. I have the
1881 census and index so I don't need anything from that.
I am trying to find the whereabouts of the following in the 1891 census:
Richard GAUT b1862, Thomas GAUT b1863 and William GAUT b1865, they are
brothers and were in Blaenavon in the 1881 census.
Alfred GAUT born 1887, died 1892 Blaenavon.
Catherine GAUT born 1889, died 1893 Blaenavon.
Trevor GAUT born 1890, died 1911 age 21 Blaenavon
Maude or Edith Maude GAUT, died 1930, wife of Richard GAUT, Blaenavon
Thomas GAUT born 1880, died 1933 Blaenavon and possibly his son James George
GAUT
I am also trying to find the whereabouts in the 1871 census for:
Samuel L GAUT, born 1864, died 1879 age 15 Blaenavon
William John GAUT, baptised 1867, parents G. John & Eleanor GAUT, living at
Mary Street Blaenavon in 1867.
Jabez Elton GAUT, baptised 1858, parents James & Kezia GAUT, Blaenavon
I am also trying to find the whereabouts in the 1841 & 1851 census for:
Joseph GAUT born 1804, died 1855 age 51 in Blaenavon. I suspect that he may
have been born in Salop, Wrockwardine.
Mary GAUT born 1800, died 1852 age 52 in Blaenavon.
James GAUT born 1831, died 1864 age 33 in Blaenavon.
Abraham GAUT born 1810 in Salop, Wrockwardine, died 1873 age 63 Blaenavon.
Also looking for records of marriages that would have taken place in or
around Blaenavon for:
Walter GAUT and Charlotte (unknown surname) between 1890 - 1893 inclusive
Richard GAUT and Sarah Ann EDWARDS between 1877 - 1881 inclusive
William GAUT and Elizabeth JENKINS between 1849 - 1853 inclusive
Abraham GAUT and Alice GRIFFITH(S) between 1882 - 1886 inclusive
Jane GAUT and Thomas JAMES between 1862 -1865 inclusive
I would appreciate any help so I can place these people into families.
Thank you in advance.
