Ray
I noticed your e-mail re Evelyn St 1940s
Iam grabbing at loose straws, Iam searching for my LEWIS family who lived at 49
Queen St Abertillery from 1916 , these are the details
Handel LEWIS and wife Elizabeth
Children
Wyndham died WW1 1917
George lived at Queen St my father visited him during WW1, His widow and a son
lived there for years possibly 1950s ,the son was a school teacher, now 70-80s
years old
They moved to Nth Wales, being a school teacher I though you may have known him.
There may have been other children.
Any information would be appreciated as I cannot find any record of them,
Also is there any LEWIS' buried in the Blaenau Gwent Cemetery as my father had
a post card of the Baptist Blaenau Gwent Chapel and Cemetery
Iam chasing any leads
They came from Pontypool/Trevethin 1850s
Thanks

Hello Peter
I sat up and took notice when I saw that you were born at number 2 Evelyn
St. Abertillery. I lived at number 6 Evelyn Street for 14 years. from 1943
to 1957. I would be very interested to know when you lived in Evelyn Street.
Where do you live now?
I have some info. for Blaenau Gwent Cemetery, I can do a look up for you if
you give me the names.
You mentioned looking around Blaenau Gwent Cemetery, what condition is the
cemetery in now?
Best regards,
Ray Dix.
