Also connected with Thomas Williams. (previous message)
He married Alice Virgo who was born in Pontnewyynidd, Trevethin on June 9th
1858.
She bore him 2 sons in 1880 and 1884 respectively.
He remarried - Eliza Wheater B. 1872, in 1890. I have been through the BMD
records in our local Record Office and on-line with free BMD to try and find
her death record and she is nowhere to be found.
What happened to her? She must have died between the date of her last son on
28th June 1884 and Thomas' remarriage on 20th December 1890.
Or did she?
There are some other scenarios if you think about it.
I just gave up after repeated searches of the microfiche at the CRO, head
spinning and little black & white images in the back of my eyeballs. Oh
dear.

I was hoping to get down to Cwmbran this month to do some backwards looking
for my George Williams of Bedwellty.
Not that I'm complaining but I now have a date for my surgery which
hopefully will allow me to walk properly again. Oh happy day!!!
That puts me off my feet for up to 12 weeks from October 10th.
I could probably do some of it on line if I knew where to start. Once I'm
home I'll be OK. "Have stairlift, will travel upstairs!"
So any guidance for, say parish records of Bedwellty prior to 1861.
All I have is that my Grandfather, Thomas Williams was born there in 1861
and his father was George Williams, described as a 'Gasman'
Mind, I suppose it's not all that desperate as I've been trying for 8 years
and it won't hurt to wait till next spring but if anyone has any thoughts
and can steer me, I'd be grateful.
Any costs can be dealt with.

Geoff

Hello,
I am looking for any information about Enos Enos who founded Zion Chapel in Ebbw Vale, he was supposedly buried in Nanatyglo. He was my 4xgt grandfather. Does anyone have any census records or any other information please, especially the names of any of his children?
Many thanks,
Jane Dyer.
