Plenty of Somerset / Bristol families.
After many searches for an ancestor who did not appear, I finally found him
by leaving out his birth place and district etc. Unfortunately, I used my
last 50p of my last session to bring him up only to find that there are
five other members of his household.
Here are the details and if anyone brings up the census image during their
own research, I would appreciate the rest of the details:
RG13 Piece 4935 Folio 86 Page 7 Schedule Number 30
Anthony DAVIES, age 40, Labourer Underground, b. "Blaenan" Gwent
I found three of the other five via the ID numbers: Adeline, age 37,
Elizabeth, age 14, and Joshua, age 11.
Thanks. Esther (Edmonton)

Hi Anne
I see that you have had a few replies, but for more a more detailed location
take a look at http://www.origin95.freeserve.co.uk/map3A.html
There are also links to other sites with lots of info about the area.

Hi Anne, Cwmtillery is just a bit further up the valley from Abertillery,
five miles at most. Regards Mick McAllister

1901 Census Leftovers -
I would like to commend Trudy's "1901 leftovers" website at
http://www.4trudy.co.uk/census to the List.
Many people have been downloading images from the 1901 online Census
(http://www.census.pro.gov.uk) and after transcribing them have posted these
to various Lists. It was thought that instead of having these dotted around
various List archives it would be helpful if these could be seen on one
website.
Trudy hopes that people who visit her website might find a record that they
are interested in and email the transcriber for more information.
You can send your transcriptions in a spreadsheet, using the fields that you
see on the website, or in a word document using commas to separate the data
to Trudy at leftovers1901(a)yahoo.co.uk
I have already sent Trudy transcriptions of 394 entries from 13 images I had
downloaded which can now be seen on her website and have just sent her a
further 323 entries from 12 images.

I am trying to locate information on my grandmother.
Her name was Laura Costin and she passed away

Thomas, and she had a sweet shop on (I think) Queen

Thanks much for any info you can provide.

I found a brother of my grandfather's on this site:
http://www.cwgc.org/
In the brother's listing, aside from where and when he died and where he is
buried, his regiment, service no. etc., I also learned where his father, my
g gf ,was living in July,1917 (when his son was killed) and that my g gm
must have been dead by then as she was not mentioned as a survivor.
British civilians who died in the war/s can also be found.

I am looking for any Silcox from Ebbe Vale going back to 1840 or later. Any
help would be appreciated. My Silcox line originally had Somerset
connections to Camerton prior to 1840. I live in Shillington Pa. USA.
Thanks
