Hello Doug & others,
Could the very kind person who emailed me a Whitchurch
Family tree please contact me again? After saving the valuable file I
accidentally erased your details. I have a lot of additional info. on
our large missing branch of the family for Lyn Thomas.
I am here and would love to hear from you <VBG>
I am writing this reply to the list as well, as I think that maybe others
might feel the same.
I was surprised to see that someone has sent you a WHITCHURCH file which I
strongly suspect is my research that I passed on to a member of this group
quite a few years ago when we were trying to make connections with our
Tasmanian trees. Whilst I don't mind information being swapped I feel that a
little bit of "netiquette" wouldn't go astray by just asking my permission
first as the person referred to is not even related to WHITCHURCH's at all.
To date, any time my research has been passed on I have never had any
information back from the person it was passed on to, so my information
(last time it was 40 pages) gets passed on without any swapping of
information back. What also upsets me is current generation information
being included along with all of my notes. Some of my relatives may not
appreciate their details being passed on without their permission. Apart
from all of this my early research included quite a few errors.
That is the end of my whinge.
