FW: Queen's OrphanageMy ancestors entered the orphanage in Sept 1863, and were the
last entries in the surviving records. There were references to them in SWD26 and 28. My
notes also mentioned I checked SWD6 and 7, but they weren't listed. I didn't note
what SWD6 and 7 actually contained though.

This is an edited version I sent to & from archives re Queens Orphanage - so not all
of us are lucky enough to find anything useful...............unfortunately! Note: Robyn
didn't mention that SWD28 and SWD26 may even give me more than the admission
details........... - I think it is a time-frame thing.

RE the orphan school - I m not aware of records this early that give additional
information - we use only SWD28 there is a sequence SWD 26 but that begins in 1859 and
ends in 1879

Is there further information available re children etc.. in Queen's Orphanage
apart from that appearing on the Admissions & Departures Rolls?
Someone tells me that in the publication relating to the rolls, that it mentions two
types of information that wasn't included in the publication, HELD BY ARCHIVES, and
I'm hoping there may be something more gleaned in reference to:
Hannah ARNOTT & Priscilla ARNOTT
13 August 1839 - Admitted to Orphan School "orphans"
21 December 1843 - quit Orphan School - delivered to their father - order of ???
(sorry that last bit is pretty near illegible.)
It does seem that if there was "an order" that it may be in existance? Or
that if they were admitted as orphans when their father was alive may be explained
Would appreciate any advice you may have, and would appreciate any documentation even
