Not quite what you are after but a site I have just found recently when
looking for the fate of a man who stole a horse from my ancestor in New
South Wales. Might be useful to others on the list. Charles Kable (son of
Henry Kable) sentenced to death but that sentence was commuted and he was
sent to Morton Bay, hard labour, in chains, for life.

On 10th November William Samuel Laming had items stolen from his
portmanteau at Angel Inn Farringdon Street by William Lewis Macklin an
Ostler at the Inn. 1 shirt 6s, 1 pair shoes 5s, 4 handkerchielfs 7s, 1 hat
band 3s, 1 pocket book 2s, 5 brooches 20s, 4 breast pins 10s. W S Laming
living in Kingston at the time. W L Macklin found guilty and transported
In this case my case the victim William Samuel Laming is on my tree, but
of curiosity are there any records for Port Jackson or maybe elsewhere for
the convict "William Lewis Macklin "?
