Thank you, did you get Catherine & 3 children information from NSW BDM?? I
looked that up & found 4 children sometime ago, but that isn't proof that it
is my Robert Judd (my great great grandfather.)
As I have no info on Robert apart from his sailing to N.S.W.Australia as a
convict in 1836, his 1st wife Mary died back in England in 1855.
Is there any where that I can find out when he left or where he went after
serving his time??

I assume Robert lived with Catherine and I see they had three
children - getting all three baptism could add to your knowledge.
Once you know where he lived you could write to the local historical
or family history society. There may be published local histories on
the district where he lived which may mention him.
If you know his death date and where he died there may be an obituary
for him in the local paper.
If you can get to your local public library they should be able to
get for you on Interlibrary Loan any specific microfilm of the Sydney
(Morning) Herald. Otherwise if you have a relative or friend in
Brisbane they could look at it at the State Library.
