I am hoping you might be able to help with a possible convict "missing"
from your Cd's index. His name is Benjamin Aulton as per another
internet site, where he was shown as being convicted at Warwick in
1789, and sentenced to transportation for seven years.
There is a notification in the Sydney Gazette dated 23 Nov 1816,
whereby numerous persons were required to prove their identity
subsequent to a muster. One of them is indicated as Benjamin Elton per
Admiral Barrington, a resident of Wilberforce. It would seem as though
such Benjamin Elton is Benjamin Aulton as per the reference in the
