Thank you for all that astounding detail. I am actually helping a friend with his family
history, because I have hit a brick wall with my own and my husband has just about
satisfied his curiosity-- he maintains the gene pool is too diluted if he goes back too
All I knew about Charles Hooper was anecdotal --that he (and Elizabeth, I believe) had
been employed by the Police at Campbelltown because (he) they could read and write. I have
Charles, 1843 Campbelltown and George 1845 as the only issue for Charles Hooper Snr and
Elizabeth Starkie-- perhaps that is her death in 1847 -- I would have expected more
offspring, but then at her age, did she die in childbirth? There are other Eliz. Hooper
deaths which confuse the picture.
You have been so helpful.
Thanks again, Judy
