Your questions are a bit open ended. Do you have a particular convict in
"Where did he live" - it would have to be in the area noted on his ticket
"How did he earn his living" - that is difficult to answer on a
general basis. I guess many may have been employed in any way that made
sufficient for them to be on their own hands. Some mconvicts didn't work
for themselves but worked for others and received a wage.
Grants - many of those who arrived very early on in the piece were given
grants of various kinds but not necessarily those who arrived later.
